Fine Arts- Visual Arts Ceramics Wheel thrown and hand built pottery and sculpture. Students learn all facets of running a ceramics studio including clay processing, kiln use and glaze mixing
Glass & Graphics Graphic design and glass techniques are integrated in a course where students work in stained glass, glass fusing and torch work.

Many Ceramics and Glass & Graphics students arrange to become involved in projects such as those illustrated below. Public Art Students benefit from working on a large group project, teaming with other students:
Emerald Youth Art Gallery This is a gallery space housed in the Emerald Art Center at 5th & Main. Springfield High Art Students solicit art work from throughout the district, prepare it for display, hang the shows and work the receptions. Exhibits rotate approximately every two months.
Art in Motion Students may arrange to teach art lessons in elementary and middle schools. Coordinated in conjunction with Thurston High School. See Karen Perkins for information.
